HANA BLANDFORD
Hana is currently in her fourth year of studying Agri-Environmental Science. She began sailing Optimists in HYC from the age of 8 then progressed to Fevas and 420s. In recent years, she's been sailing J24s competitively and has been a member of the UCD Sailing Team since her first year representing UCD nationally & internationally including Womens BUSA two consecutive years in a row. She is a qualified ISA sailing and keelboat instructor having coached in Dublin, Malta and the US. She held the position of PRO on last years committee, and is looking forward to the year ahead as Commodore and can’t wait to see whats in store for UCDSC this year as it continues to grow!

JACK FAHY
Jack is in his second year studying Commerce. He has been sailing for as long as he can remember both in Lough Derg and in Dun Laoghaire. He has raced competitively from the age of 12 and as a youth sailor was a Topper, Laser 4.7 and Laser Radial national champion, as well as competing at various world championships and the ISAFs. Jack is a fully qualified ISA sailing instructor and coaches the Dun Laoghaire Laser program. Jack has also taken on the role of safety officer but above all is excited to train the club into another competively successful year!

NICOLE HEMERYCK
Nicole is in her fourth year studying Economics & Finance. You simply won't find a woman who loves the sport of sailing more. She sailed competitively as a youth and to this day there isn't a day she's not on or near the water. She's competed at the BUSA Womens Nationals the last two years and the Laser Performance Collegiate Cup in 2018 and 2019. Nicole smashed the role as Sailing Captain two years ago leading the club to victory in the Inter-Varsity Championship and Colours that year. She is extremely excited to help grow the club even more.

REBECCA DUKE
Rebecca is a final year Business and Law student here in UCD. Rebecca began sailing in Dun Laoghaire in University at 19 and essentially joined the club as a beginner. What she lacked in sailing experience she made up for in enthusiasm and some say she's the greatest social sailor the club has ever seen. She is looking forward to holding the position of Treasurer for this season and keeping those accounts in tip top shape!

LUCY REID
Lucy is currently in her fourth year of studying Food & Agri-Business Management with a keen interest in digital content creation and marketing. She began sailing in Clifden boat club and Lough Derg Yacht Club. She is actively involved with Irish Sailabilty and has coached sailing in Ireland, America and Australia. She has also represented UCD nationally & internationally. Lucy takes themed nights & dancing on elevated surfaces very seriously and always has a camera in hand, most likely to be seen posing on boats or taking a photo shoot, so take caution on approach! She has taken personal responsibility to be the clubs environmental officer ensuring as a club we keep our oceans clean in everything we do!

ISEULT KNEAFSEY & PETER LAWLOR
Iseult is studying Commerce and is currently working off campus on her placement. She started sailing in Dun Laoghaire when she was seven. She has raced in national and international competitions in an Optimist, a Topper, a Laser 4.7, a Laser Radial and a 420. She is an ISA qualified dinghy instructor and has worked as a sailing instructor in Dun Laoghaire for the past four years. Since joining UCD she has sailed on the UCD second and third teams. She has also represented UCD at international team racing events such as the RYA Women’s Team Racing Championships in Southampton and the Laser Performance Collegiate Cup in Lake Garda. Iseult was the clubs fresher captain last year and excelled by breaking the record of fresher sign-ups!

Andrew is in his second year of Landscape Architecture, yes a TUD blow in but lets hope his fresher days are over!
This is a man who loves boats so much he spends majority of his time between the RNLI and working in the Royal St George Yacht Club. More than qualified to sort all our boating needs.

Michael is in his second year in Maths in UCD. Michael had been sailing since he was 9. He has sailed lasers, rs200's, 1720's and much more. For the past three years Michael has been working in the Royal Irish yacht club as a boatman so he is pretty experienced when it comes to fixing boats and ribs alike.

RUTH MORRISSEY
Ruth is in her second year of Food and Agribusiness Management. Ruth has been sailing since she was 11. She is a member of both the Royal St. George yacht club and Dungarvan Harbour sailing club where she has sailed Toppers, RS Fevas, and Lasers. Ruth is also an ISA qualified dinghy instructor, and has worked with both adults and children in numerous clubs around the country for the past three years. She is looking forward to welcoming everyone into the club this year !

PADDY RIORDAN
Paddy is in his third year of Commerce in UCD. Paddy has been sailing since he was seven. He is a member of the Royal Irish Yacht club where he has sailed oppies, RS Fevas, Lasers and 420s. In more recent years Patrick has been sailing J109 and Xp35s and 1720s. Patrick has worked in in Manhattan Yacht Club where he had the role of both sailing instructor in J24s for both adults and children. Paddy has always had a passion for keel boats and it looking forward to the big year ahead.

AOIFE HYNES
Aoife is in her second year of Veterinary Medicine. She represented Ireland internationally from the age of 8 in Opis, and the age of 14 in Lasers, and won three world championships. However she sustained a bad head injury after the 2017 worlds and retired from international level (to be taken with a pinch of salt). She is an ISA qualified dinghy instructor and coached the Crookhaven Marconi Cup team to victory two years in a row. Enthusiastic about clean seas and women on the water.
