University College Dublin Sailing Club was founded in 1948 by a group of enthusiastic sailors with the aim of representing the University both at national and international competitions. The club started out with just two boats which were entered into fleet racing competitions while boats were chartered to compete in team events.
Nowadays, the club caters for both beginners and advanced sailors, competing at a high standard at both national and international team, match, and fleet racing events in dinghies and yachts.
